Bridalwear to buy, wear and sell back

Love high bridal fashion but can't afford the price tag?

A new site Nearly Newlywed has launched offering brides the chance to get their hands on coveted gowns from the likes of Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta and Ellie Saab for discounted prices.  And once you're big day is over, you can get some of that big price back by selling it back to the website.

It's based in the US but  there's nothing on the site to say that brides from outside the US can't use the site.

Seriously glamourous brides can't go wrong with this flippin' gorgeous Oscar de la Renta gown

and for a stylish bridesmaid I'm loving this Philip Lim pleated dress

I'd be interested in feedback so if you try it post a comment below.

3, 2, 1... Lift off!

So here it is. My third-time-lucky foray into blogging. This time it will be different, this time it will last... let's see!

There are so many fabulous wedding blogs out there I was tempted to call this something else but this blog will be about weddings so why not make the commitment (see what I did there?).

When I first got engaged one of my friends suggested I start a blog but this blog won't be about what I'm doing with my wedding. Alright, I might give the odd thing away but I want my wedding to be a surprise for everyone so I won't be revealing too much.  Instead this blog will guide you through the wonderful world of weddings.  There are some amazing wedding blogs out there and I've been following a few of them long before I got engaged but I'm sure there's room for one more, it's only a little one.

A Spoonful of Weddings will bring together all the beautiful, awesome details that couples spend so long thinking about in the run up to their weddings. There will be the obvious, dresses, shoes and accessories as well as the food, the music, the honeymoons! and everything else in between.

I can't wait to get started!
